Poland in Pictures: The Sites

A couple weeks ago, I came back from an incredible adventure. My mom’s side of the family is Polish and we’ve been wanting to visit for years. We finally just..did it! And it was amazing.

With a trip like this, I could talk on and on about all things I saw, did, and of course, ate. Instead, I’m going to give you a small look into my trip in the next few posts.

First…The Sites

We began the trip with a 10 day tour to see all the big sites / tourist-y places. Since I’ve never been to Poland, it was perfect for my sister and me to see the big things and learn about the history of our family’s homeland. As for my mom, she hadn’t been in Poland in 25 years! You can imagine that it looked very different in the 90s than it does now. She was constantly expressing how “beautiful it is!” It truly is incredible what this country has done to rebuild itself and get back to where it once was.

Here’s a peak at our tour:

After the 10 day tour, we were lucky enough to stay with my mom’s cousin in a city called Wroclaw (pronounced “Vrotes-waf” believe it or not). It was so nice to have some local adventures after being around fellow tourists.
